Puppy Plan

Our Comprehensive Healthcare Plan for Puppies

(This plan covers preventative healthcare. It is not an insurance policy.)

$363.53

(Includes a 25% discount from regular fee schedule, prepaid at initial visit.)

Base Plan

Our veterinarians designed this plan to effectively and affordably provide all the necessary preventative treatments for your puppy’s first four months. It includes the cornerstones of early canine health:

  • Examinations – 2 exams (at initial and final plan visits), performed by Dr. Kaplow or Dr. Sollinger, will assess your puppy’s general health.

  • Vaccinations – Highly effective immunizations given against Canine Distemper, Parvo Virus, Parainfluenza, Adenovirus part 2, and Rabies.

  • Heartworm/Internal Parasite Protection – 3 separate doses of Heartgard Plus to be given at each puppy plan appointment to prevent heartworm disease and intestinal parasites.

  • Stool Parasite Exams and Deworming – 2 microscopic stool evaluations and deworming medication for prevention and treatment of intestinal parasites.

Optionally, you may add any or all of the following add-ons to your base puppy plan (additional prices in parentheses).

Optional Add-Ons
  • Bordetella – oral vaccine given to those dogs for whom training classes, puppy socialization, grooming or boarding (kennels) are planned in order to help prevent kennel cough. (Add $16.00)

  • Canine Influenza – vaccine given to those dogs for whom training classes, puppy socialization, grooming or boarding (kennels) are planned in order to help prevent canine influenza. (Add $75.00)

  • Lepto – vaccine given to those dogs living in areas where wildlife is prevalent. Leptospirosis is transferred through the urine of wildlife and can be passed to humans; administering the vaccine will help prevent infection. (Add $35.00)

  • Lyme – vaccine given to those dogs living in areas where ticks are prevalent. Lyme Disease is transferred through tick bites; administering this vaccine can help prevent infection. (Add $67.50)

  • Rattlesnake – vaccine given to those dogs living in (or visiting) areas with high exposure to rattlesnakes. Administering this vaccine will increase the length of time available to seek medical treatment, but does not absolve the need for medical treatment in the event of a snake bite. (Add $49.60) [Puppies under 25 pounds at the time of the final visit will require a third booster – additional $24.80]

  • Microchip – for permanent identification (includes lifelong registration) (Add $40.00)

Any services beyond the scope of the above-described Puppy Plan are billed separately according to our regular fee schedule. In case of transfer of ownership of the puppy, the new owner may receive any remaining services on the plan. In the case of loss or premature death of the puppy, any remaining services may be credited toward future treatment of other animals. If you wish a monetary refund, we will add 20% fee reduction to recalculate the fees for all delivered services, then refund the difference.
